Vacancy: Damage Management Technician

We have an immediate full-time opportunity available for an experienced Damage Management Technician to join our vibrant team.

The ideal candidate would be BDMA qualified and have experience in working in Insurance and dealing with 1st Party Fire and Flood property claims.

The position would involve processing a wide range of Fire, Flood, Escape of Water (EOW) and Storm Property claims. You will be responsible for providing a prompt, accurate and efficient claims service for an extremely varied portfolio. The role is field-based and you will be required to work across the South of England.

Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday (no emergency cover required)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year


Vacancy: Technical Claims Handler

Whether an insurance company we partner with, or one of their affected policyholders – we make it easy to swiftly and smoothly settle insurance claims for property damage – by instigating rapid repairs. Working in both the domestic and commercial sectors, we offer a streamlined and alternative way to speed up the lifecycle of a claim – on average by 30 days.

From validating a claim, to fixing the damage – we’re obsessed with making our clients' experience with us a seamless one – dealing with all parties on their behalf. After all, when disaster strikes, everybody in the process chain needs a competent pair of hands to cut through the noise – and quickly restore some order – whilst making sure costs don’t spiral out of control. And that’s exactly what we do.

We have an immediate Full-time (part-time could be considered) opportunity available for an experienced claims handler to join our vibrant team.

As a result of obtaining a number of new Insurance contracts for 1st and 3rd party property repairs, we are now looking to take on a Technical Claims Handler.

The Role:

  • You will be liaising between Insurers, policyholders, third parties, contractors and surveyors via phone and email.
  • Managing your own portfolio of claims from cradle to grave
  • Assisting in negotiating and adjusting claims
  • Dealing with incoming and making out going phone calls to our key stakeholders
  • Updating daily activity on Claims Management System maintaining clear audit trail
  • Competent and confident using computer

Successful candidates:

  • Ideal candidate would have experience in working in Insurance and dealing with 1st or 3rd Party Fire, Flood, Escape of water, smoke, impact, storm or subsidence property claims.
  • Some specific experience in dealing with Insurance Policy Holders and Third Party customers with regarding to domestic and commercial building repairs, repudiations and validation work would be helpful.
  • First class communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and build relationships with our customers and effectively deal with the problems and find resolutions within a tight time frame.
  • A background within insurance claims, contracting, housing or maintenance setting is essential.
  • The desire to consistently provide excellent customer service
  • An understanding of responsive repairs contracts and what constitutes an excellent service
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Emails
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £28,000.00 per year
